Temperature Sensitivity: Can the printer be exposed to temperature fluctuations when not in use?
Temperature Sensitivity: Can the printer be exposed to temperature fluctuations when not in use?
For best performance, the printer should be kept within the recommended temperature range of 68~77° F; Humidity 35~70% (non-condensing). Extreme temperature fluctuations can affect its printing performance even when not in use because the ink bags may have been exposed to a temperature that may change its viscosity levels which will impact print quaity when ready to use.

USAGE AND PRINT CAPABILITIES
Printing on Mugs: Can the printer be used to print on mugs with handle?
Printing on Mugs: Can the printer be used to print on mugs with handle?
Yes, the printer can print on mugs, but it is best used for flat printing only, not with a rotary attachment. This limits the imprint area to 1.75" wide and does not support full wraps. The rotary attachment's 1" wheels do not provide sufficient clearance for handles, posing a risk of damage to both the printer head and the product. Therefore, LogoJET strongly recommends avoiding handle printing with the rotary attachment.
Printing on Glass & Pyrosil: What are the capabilities for printing on glass, and what is pyrosil?
Printing on Glass & Pyrosil: What are the capabilities for printing on glass, and what is pyrosil?
The printer can print on glass, but special techniques may be needed depending on the application. For display-only glass, a pretreatment wipe is sufficient, and most adhesion promoters will work. For glass items that need to withstand dishwashing, Pyrosil pretreatment is required to enhance print adhesion and durability. A handheld Pyrosil kit is available online for $500. For more information on adhesion techniques, consult our latest blog on UV Adhesion.
Dishwasher Compatibility: Can a tumbler be cleaned in a dishwasher?
Dishwasher Compatibility: Can a tumbler be cleaned in a dishwasher?
If a pretreatment wipe is applied to the tumbler before printing, the tumbler can withstand multiple dishwasher cycles on top rack, low heat or no steam cycles. However, hand washing is recommended to extend the life of the print and maintain the vacuum seal on the tumbler design.
Printing Limitations: What materials or items can the printer not handle?
Printing Limitations: What materials or items can the printer not handle?
The printer is not suitable for silicone materials or wearable fabrics such as t-shirts. Additionally, height limitations of up to 5" or 6" apply, depending on the product size and printer model. For irregularly shaped products, UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) is recommended. Learn more here: UV Transfer Film.
Print Time and Costs: How long does it take to print items such as tumblers, golf balls, and yard signs, and what are the general ink costs for each?
Print Time and Costs: How long does it take to print items such as tumblers, golf balls, and yard signs, and what are the general ink costs for each?
Print times vary depending on the item and the desired imprint area. For example, with the UVx90R-SE model, you can fit up to 3 tumblers on the rotary attachment. Printing a standard 3" logo (color only) on all 3 tumblers takes approximately 3.5 minutes, which averages to 1 minute and 16 seconds per tumbler. The ink cost is about 2 cents per imprint. If printing a white underbase on dark products, both the time and cost will double. For information on printing golf balls and yard signs, refer to the profitability charts here:
